Pike Township sits in the northwestern corner of Marion County, and its live-music options lean toward the dinner-and-drinks end of the spectrum rather than the concert-hall end. Rick's Café Boatyard is a jazz club and restaurant on Eagle Creek Reservoir that debuted in 1994. The venue provides live music each evening and, per Visit Indy, also hosts live jazz on Saturday and Sunday afternoons. Guests get a panoramic view of the reservoir to go with the music, making it one of the more distinctively located music spots in Indianapolis. Miami's Garden, on Woodland Drive, takes a different approach. It is a tropical restaurant and lounge featuring live music, cocktails, and soul fusion food with influences from Southern and Caribbean cuisine. Regular programming includes "Thursdays Groove" and "Vibes from Africa" nights, alongside weekend dance events. Together, the two venues give Pike Township a small but genuine live-music footprint, with jazz on the water at Rick's and Afro-Caribbean-inflected nights at Miami's Garden.
