Speedway

A city in the Indianapolis area

Speedway is a small town on the west side of Indianapolis whose identity is built around the Indianapolis Motor Speedway. That racing pulse runs straight through its live-music calendar. IMS itself hosts live music at several spots on the grounds, including Pagoda Plaza and the 4th Turn infield, with the biggest acts appearing on Carb Day, Legends Day, and Race Day. The track anchors everything, and the smaller venues on Main Street fill in the rest of the year. Big Woods Speedway brings the Big Woods brewpub experience to Main Street, pairing craft beer and spirits from Quaff ON! with regular live music. The venue features a track-themed mural in its beer garden and a race car on the patio, making it a natural pre- and post-race stop. Daredevil Brewing Co has a large outside patio and lawn area with a dedicated stage for live music. Live music is part of a warm-weather event lineup that runs May through October, alongside Food Truck Fridays, Bike Nights, and its annual Lagerfest. Foyt Wine Vault also appears in local live-music listings as a spot for music in the area. The town itself runs a Speedway Summer Nights live-music series once a week at Meadowood Park, and the annual Rockin' on Main street event draws Nashville-level talent to Main Street during Indy 500 week.
