Nora is a suburban north-side neighborhood without a dense music-venue strip, and its live-music options reflect that. Big Lug Canteen sits right on the Monon Trail and doubles as the neighborhood's primary music spot. Indy born and brewed since 2015, the brewpub pairs house-made craft beer with food, a concept built by Eddie Sahm and his father Ed. They host live music Thursday through Saturday nights during the warmer months, with shows taking place outside, weather permitting. Capacity runs about 100 outside and 140 inside, and the venue books across all genres. The patio overlooks the Monon Trail, drawing trail users and neighborhood regulars alike.
