Binford is a residential neighborhood in north Indianapolis, and its live-music footprint comes down to one spot: Blind Owl Brewery at 5014 E. 62nd St. off Binford Boulevard. Founded in June 2015, the brewery was purchased in full by the Berg family in 2025, making it a fully family-owned business. Under new ownership, the venue invested in the music side: Blind Owl added an enhanced patio featuring a stage for live music, with a main covered patio that seats up to 96 guests. Live music runs Fridays and Saturdays. The booking leans toward local and regional acts in a casual, outdoor setting, with performances like a funk-and-soul outdoor party featuring members of Bloomington-founded band The Main Squeeze, known for a mix of funk, soul, rock, and improvisation. In addition to live music, Blind Owl hosts bocce ball, cornhole, and seasonal patio leagues. For Binford residents, it functions as a genuine neighborhood gathering place rather than a destination music venue.
