Liberty
Liberty's live-music options run from a dedicated jazz room to a high-volume sports bar. Johnnie's Jazz Bar & Grille books live jazz Thursday through Saturday and keeps a list of 70 bourbons on hand, all inside Liberty Cinema 12. The bar is named after Johnnie Genevieve (Miller) Bills, a piano player for silent movies at the original B&B Theatres in 1924, and her restored piano sits on the stage. Beyond jazz, Johnnie's calendar also covers trivia, karaoke, and music bingo. Established in 1991, The Landing Eatery & Pub calls itself the Northland's go-to gathering spot. The Landing books live music four to five nights a week and holds the largest covered smoking patio in the Northland. It runs as a locally owned sports bar and grill with scratch-made food and over 60 HDTVs. Outside the bars, Liberty's Make Music Day, hosted by the Liberty Arts Commission, reached its ninth year in 2025, with performances concentrated in downtown Liberty.
