Louisville, TN
Louisville, TN is a quiet Blount County suburb about 25 minutes south of Knoxville, and its one dedicated live-music stop is The Station, a seated listening room on Miser Station Road. The Station is a restored, roughly 120-year-old listening-room venue built specifically for live music. It holds around 72 seated guests and books acoustic, Americana, blues, country, folk, and singer-songwriter acts. Shows run on Saturday nights, sometimes Friday nights, but only a couple of times each month. Past performers have included Dale Ann Bradley, Mic Harrison, Amelia White, and Stephen Clair. Well-known regional performers, some of them Grammy winners, have played the room. There is a back outdoor area where concertgoers can step outside between sets. The intimate scale is the whole point: every seat is described as better than a backstage pass at a typical large venue. If you want a close, no-frills evening with a roots-music act in East Tennessee, The Station is worth the drive out.
