Waukesha

Let It Be is a Beatles-themed music venue and bar at 716 Clinton St. in downtown Waukesha. The space is a recreation of Liverpool's subterranean Cavern Club, where the Beatles got their start. It is the owner Dave Meister's second such Cavern Club recreation, the first having opened more than seven years ago in Hartland. The venue has a capacity of around 100 and books blues, classic rock, jazz, R&B, rock, and singer-songwriter acts. Live music runs Thursday through Saturday, with Thursdays and Saturdays reserved for a Beatles tribute band. That house band is the Beatles-inspired quartet The Taxmen, with other local musicians booked on Fridays. The Visit Waukesha events calendar also notes a regular Jazz Night at Let It Be Music Club on Wednesday evenings from 7 to 10 p.m. Waukesha's broader live-music calendar has several strands beyond Let It Be. Friday Night Live is an outdoor music event that runs every summer Friday night in downtown Waukesha, drawing large crowds for a weekly street-closing festival. The Les Paul Performance Center at Cutler Park hosts the Guitar Town Music Festival, among other outdoor shows.
