Gibsonia
Gibsonia is a quiet northern suburb with one dedicated live-music space: Steamworks Creative, launched as a collaborative venture between performers and dedicated live music lovers, operates as a true "listening room" for solo, duo, and trio acoustic acts. It opened in January 2018 and runs entirely on a volunteer basis. Tuesdays are reserved for Steamworks Sessions, an open stage with a featured performer, and the first and third Wednesday host an all-ages open stage. Weekend ticketed shows have drawn artists like Billy Price, J Trafford, and Dereos Roads. With seating for 50, the space is BYOB, and patrons can also bring food. Talking is not permitted while musicians are performing, a firm commitment to attentive listening that sets the room apart from the typical suburban bar stage.
