Greensburg

The Palace Theatre has been a cultural landmark in downtown Greensburg since 1926. Originally opened as the Manos Theatre, a vaudeville and silent movie venue, it now hosts the widest variety of live entertainment in the Laurel Highlands region. The restored, 1,367-seat hall draws national touring concerts, comedy, theatre, dance, and family entertainment, pulling more than 70,000 patrons annually. It is home to the Westmoreland Symphony Orchestra and a regional venue for River City Brass, with regular productions from local groups including Laurel Ballet and Stage Right. Recent touring music bookings have included ZZ Top, Air Supply, and Foghat. Musical legends across nearly all genres have graced its stage, some at pivotal points in their careers. Greensburg's downtown has also seen a broader arts and music upturn, with the Summersounds concert series in St. Clair Park adding an outdoor component to the city's live-music calendar.
