Warren
Warren, Ohio sits between Cleveland and Pittsburgh, and its two primary concert venues draw touring acts that might otherwise bypass smaller markets. Packard Music Hall is the center of cultural and entertainment programs in the Warren area, hosting a wide variety of events each year including Broadway touring productions, concerts, and ballets. The hall was envisioned by industrialist William Doud Packard, who wrote provisions into his 1920 will to ensure music would continue to command attention in Warren. The resident W.D. Packard Band, "Pride of Warren since 1955," offers free concerts to the local community, performing indoors at the hall in winter and outdoors on the south lawn in summer. Packard Music Hall has welcomed acts across genres, including Chris Young, Debby Boone, and Brett Young. Robins Theatre is a historic theatre and live music venue in the heart of Warren. Purchased in 2017 by Downtown Development Group, the theatre was restored with attention to historical accuracy and now offers concerts, stage shows, and film screenings. Past performers include The Fabulous Thunderbirds, with upcoming bookings such as Rodney Atkins and tribute acts covering Fleetwood Mac. Beyond these two anchors, the free "Music in the Park" series runs Friday evenings at Soldiers and Sailors Park in downtown Warren, and Bent Run Brewing Company hosts occasional live acts as well.
