St. Charles carries its music across a wide range of formats, from casino floors to a Broadway-style performing arts hall. Ameristar Casino Resort Spa anchors the largest cluster of venues in the city. The Bottleneck Blues Bar books classic rock, 80s, Motown, and modern pop acts on Friday and Saturday nights, while RYSE Nightclub brings EDM artists into a space built around modern technology and a pulse-pounding lineup. The Brilliance Ballroom, a 16,000-square-foot room, hosts large-scale events and can accommodate concerts alongside its conference use. The J. Scheidegger Center for the Arts on the Lindenwood University campus holds a 1,200-seat Broadway-style theater and the Emerson Black Box Theater, designed for experimental work with up to 180 seats. On Historic Main Street, Main Street Honky Tonk books a rotating lineup of local and national country acts, with a dance floor in the mix, while Moonshine Blues Bar, also on Main Street, features live blues and local bands most Fridays.
