LA Young's Phyllis Hyman Tribute at City Winery St. Louis

City Winery St. Louis presents LA Young's Phyllis Hyman Tribute live on Thursday, November 5th at 7:30pm! If you love the music of Phyllis Hyman, you'll love this show. L.A. Young is a contralto — the same rare, low, dark-toned voice Hyman sang with. Not an impersonation: she sings the songbook in the range it was written for, backed by her working band, Soul Society™ — every arrangement live, nothing on tape.
