Midtown

Midtown is long recognized as the cultural hub of the region, and its live-music range is as wide as any neighborhood in St. Louis. At the top end, Chaifetz Arena, a 10,600-seat venue on the Saint Louis University campus, has hosted concerts since opening in 2008, with past performers including Bruce Springsteen, Elton John, The Killers, and Brad Paisley. The Fox Theatre is now the city's premier live performance venue, having opened in 1929. City Foundry STL, a large mixed-use development at 3730 Foundry Way, brings its own programming: local St. Louis artists play the Food Hall every Friday and Saturday night, covering jazz, acoustic, rock, and covers. Also inside City Foundry, City Winery hosts live music, comedy, podcast recordings, and brunch performances, with a calendar that regularly features national touring artists, singer-songwriters, jazz musicians, and curated local acts. The intimate concert setting lets audiences experience performances up close in a seated environment. Fubar, None of the Above, Red Flag, and The Key STL round out the neighborhood's smaller-venue options, though specific booking details for those four were not available from search results.
