Downtown West
Downtown West carries more than its share of Downtown St. Louis's music weight. The Hawthorn is an open-concept concert hall and event space with more than 10,000 square feet and two full-service bars. It draws a wide range of crowds, hosting high-energy concerts alongside themed events like an Emo Night Tour stop and R&B nights. Europe Night Club is a two-story electronic dance music venue focused on electronic dance genres and regularly hosting nationally known DJs. It runs Thursday through Saturday from 10 PM to 3 AM. City Museum, housed in a former shoe factory, adds an unconventional music setting to the mix: Jazz Sunday runs at Beatnik Bob's on the third floor, and the venue also hosts adult-oriented City Nights events with live music throughout the year. Kre8 Spaces, Maggie O'Brien's, Schlafly Tap Room, and The Over/Under Bar & Grill round out the neighborhood's options, making Downtown West one of the more format-diverse music blocks in the city, spanning EDM club nights, jazz, and concert-hall shows within a few blocks.
