Swanton's live-music offerings range from a downtown winery to a deeply rooted outdoor blues venue. Benfield Wines hosts live music, bingo, and other events in a restored 1896 opera house at 102 North Main Street. The spot makes house wine, pours local craft beer, and keeps a bourbon selection alongside food, drawing regulars to its regular weekend schedule. Benfield Wines also co-hosts the Swanton Summer Block Parties, which transform Zeiter Way downtown with live music, food, and community events on select Saturdays through the warmer months. Out on the rural edge of town, Griffin Hines Farm has carried the beat of blues music for over 90 years, and its history is hard to overstate. Blues legends including B.B. King, Freddy King, John Lee Hooker, and Bobby "Blue" Bland have played inside its walls, and the farm's outdoor stage and juke joint, set on 40 acres, have drawn the biggest names since the 1930s. Mail Pouch Saloon rounds out the local options as a bar known for live music.
