Heavy Rotation Brewing Co. is a 3.5-barrel nano brewery in Brooklyn Park, started by three people with a passion for beer and music. It is the city's main dedicated live-music spot. The taproom runs live music on Fridays or Saturdays and hosts an open mic on Sundays. Acts cover pop, rock, and classic hits, keeping the programming accessible and neighborhood-friendly. Shows take place in the taproom, giving the room an intimate, small-venue feel. The brewery has also picked up awards at the Minnesota Craft Brewers Guild Awards for its cream ale Farmer Franks and English dark mild London Calling. Brooklyn Park does not have a deep bench of dedicated live-music rooms, so Heavy Rotation carries most of the weight for original, recurring music programming in the city.
