Hager City
Harbor Bar has operated on the Wisconsin side of the Mississippi River, directly across from Red Wing, Minnesota, since 1964. It is the only live-music destination in Hager City, and it leans hard into that identity: the venue bills itself as the "Headquarters for Live Music on the Upper Mississippi River." The restaurant, bar, and marina hosts live music outside on Friday and Saturday nights and on Sunday afternoons during the summer months, with a capacity of around 1,500. The venue runs its own ReggaeFest as part of an outdoor summer concert series. Alongside the music, Harbor Bar offers riverside dining inside and out and is known as the home of original Jamaican Jerk cooking. A full kitchen was added in 1989, and a marina with 32 slips followed in 2006. For anyone arriving by water, the marina makes the Harbor Bar one of the few music venues in the metro area that can be reached by boat.
