St. Elmo

The Woodshop Listening Room is a bar and music venue in St. Elmo and the neighborhood's main live-music anchor. It holds a capacity of around 50, and the stage is intimate, with the audience potentially two to three feet from the artist. Tuesday nights bring Jhett Black's Tuesday Bluesday blues residency, and every Friday at 8 p.m. the room runs Forever Bluegrass, a Chattanooga tradition curated by Cindy Pinion and the Pinion family, featuring different regional pickers and singers each week. Saturdays are reserved for ticketed concerts spanning roots, folk, and beyond. Craft cocktails and BBQ round out the offering. The Woodshop also serves as the official after-party venue for St. Elmo neighborhood events like the annual Porchfest and Luminaria Festival, which draw local bands into the streets before crowds move inside. For St. Elmo, The Woodshop is where the live-music life happens.
