Downers Grove
A suburb in the Chicago area
Two Way Street Coffee House has been presenting weekly folk and acoustic concerts and community events since 1970, making it one of the longest-running folk venues in the Chicago suburbs. It operates as a listening room, drawing regional and nationally touring singer-songwriters. Ballydoyle Irish Pub hosts live music Wednesday through Saturday, with Wednesdays reserved for open mic. The pub is known for its bands and quality sound system, and draws crowds for its St. Patrick's Day shows featuring live music and Irish dancers. Bryan's American Grille, a neighborhood bar and grill on Ogden Avenue, runs karaoke on Fridays and live music on Saturdays. Beyond the individual venues, the Village runs a Friday Night Live series every Friday evening through August at the Main Street Train Station in downtown Downers Grove, and the Park District presents Tuesday evening concerts at Fishel Park from June through August.
