Westmont
A suburb in the Chicago area
Westmont's downtown Cass Avenue corridor anchors the area's live-music activity. The strongest draw is Johnny's Blitz Bar & Grill, just a half block from the BNSF Metra station, which has made blues its identity, partly by leaning into Westmont's history as the longtime home of Muddy Waters. Blues acts from across the country play there on Fridays and Saturdays. Open-mic nights run on Mondays and Thursdays with no cover. Dolce Restaurant & Wine Bar takes a quieter approach, pairing live piano with dinner service in its main dining room. Neat Kitchen + Bar is a regular live-music stop during the city's weekly Westmont Cruisin' Nights street event, hosting acts ranging from blues and jazz-swing to country and rock pop. The annual Taste of Westmont festival adds a broader outdoor music dimension, running two stages over four days with tribute acts, local originals, and blues jams. The Fremont Bar & Grill, Uptown Tavern, and Whiskey Hill Brewery & Kitchen round out the six venues, though specific booking details for those three were not available at time of writing.
