Forest Park
Forest Park's live-music life runs along Madison Street, where two venues sit within a block of each other. Robert's Westside is a music venue, tavern, and community space at 7321 Madison Street. It was opened by music booking agent Donnie Biggins, who has a track record working with Fitzgerald's nightclub in Berwyn and Forest Park's Exit Strategy bar. Biggins books talent across a wide variety of genres, wanting everyone to feel welcome. The venue has a capacity of 250, and most shows take place Wednesday through Saturday nights. It is a five-minute walk to the CTA Blue or Green Line. A few doors down, Rhythm & Blues Cafe opened in 2024 and serves Southern comfort food complemented by soulful music in a cozy setting. It bills itself as a "dinnertainment experience" with a blues vibe. Friday nights lean toward oldies and throwback R&B, and the cafe also hosts free line-dance lessons.
