Erlanger is a Northern Kentucky suburb sitting just minutes from Cincinnati/Northern Kentucky International Airport. Its own dedicated live-music scene is thin, and concertgoers often travel to nearby Covington or Newport for regular programming. The main local live-music option is Receptions Event Centers, a long-running event complex at 1379 Donaldson Highway. The venue offers event spaces for weddings, receptions, and corporate gatherings, housed in an equestrian-style building with wood beams and a grand stone entrance, with four distinct banquet rooms and in-house catering. The full facility accommodates up to 900 guests. More recently, Receptions has added a dedicated concert format called Receptions Live. It pitches itself as an intimate entertainment experience, building on over 30 years of hosting large celebrations in its ballrooms. Receptions Live pairs its concert programming with signature food service and creative menu pairings. Past ticketed shows have included acts like jazz-pop artist Peter Cincotti. The city also hosts an annual outdoor Summer Sendoff event, which features live bands alongside a DJ, adding a festival feel to the evening.
