Cleveland Heights puts live music at several distinct scales. At the top end, Cain Park's Evans Amphitheater has been a cultural hub since 1938 and holds over 2,000 people. Its seasonal lineup spans indie rock, jazz, classical, theatre, and stand-up, and the grassy slope lets attendees spread out on blankets alongside the reserved seating. On the club end of the spectrum, the Grog Shop aims for live music every night of the year, spotlighting several types of performers in an intimate room. It draws both local bands and touring acts across indie rock, alternative, jazz, and blues. Directly below the Grog Shop, B Side Lounge features local DJs and performers, with weekly programming that runs from open mic and acoustic sets to comedy and weekend dance parties. Rounding out the neighborhood, Quintana's Speakeasy is a small, intimate room hidden behind a different business downstairs, keeping things low-key and conversational.
