Hough
Hough sits about three miles east of Downtown Cleveland, a historically significant neighborhood currently in the midst of a redevelopment push. East 66th Street, known locally as Black Avenue, is emerging as a key corridor within a broader Hough Cultural District, with a vision centering art, music, and culture. The neighborhood draws on the live-music legacy of the former Leo's Casino. The anchor of the neighborhood's live-music scene today is The Sixty6 Music Lounge and Studio. Located in Cleveland's Hough neighborhood, The Sixty6 is designed as a community-driven space where diverse programming allows local artists to perform, record, and connect. The venue sits within the Warren E. Anderson Midtown Collaboration Center on East 66th Street and Euclid Avenue. In its first year, The Sixty6 hosted more than 90 free community concerts. The venue also offers access to complimentary recording facilities and two Black-owned establishments on site. Programming has included jazz-electronic artists like Wave Magnetik and DJ sets oriented toward daytime gathering. A performer fund through the Cleveland Foundation supports local artists.
