Vermilion
Vermilion is a small Lake Erie city with a modest but consistent live-music calendar. The Vermilion Chamber of Commerce runs two free outdoor series: "3rd Thursdays Music, Flowers & A Sunset" brings free live music to downtown Vermilion from May through September on the third Thursday of each month, and the "Live at the Lighthouse" series hosts free outdoor concerts on Main Street Beach. The 3rd Thursdays series draws well over a dozen bands across Harbour Town, covering rock, jazz, pop, country, oldies, and gospel. For a dedicated indoor venue, Paper Moon Vineyards is a family-owned winery opened in 2009 by the Cawrse family, built around wine, food, and fellowship. The winery schedules live music from 6 to 9 p.m. on Fridays and Saturdays. Recent bookings have included acts like Dave Hinrich performing live at the vineyard. The setting pairs acoustic-friendly performances with wine tastings and a light food menu, making it the city's primary year-round spot for live music.
