Northwest Columbus
Northwest Columbus sits well outside Columbus's densest live-music corridors. The one named venue here, Traditions Tavern, is a neighborhood bar on Kenny Road that has operated since 1992. Currently under new ownership, it lists itself as a bar and live-music venue. The programming leans casual and participatory: a Tuesday open jam runs every week at 8 p.m., hosted by Patrick Thomas Bolich, a guitarist known as a member of QFM96's house band. Karaoke fills Wednesday nights, and the patio offers a spot to catch a game. For original or touring acts, Traditions Tavern is not the draw, but for locals who want to pick up an instrument on a weeknight or sing along, it covers that ground in a part of the city that otherwise has little dedicated live-music activity.
