Westgate is a residential neighborhood on Columbus's west side, and its live-music footprint is small but distinct. The one dedicated venue here is Plaza Mexico, at 4060 Sullivant Avenue, which anchors the neighborhood's southern edge. The calendar mixes regional Mexican concerts with dance-driven events, from banda, norteño, and cumbia to reggaeton DJ takeovers and celebratory holiday shows. Past performers have included Banda Machos, Banda Los Recoditos, and Banda Maguey, and upcoming acts include Los Inquietos del Norte and Tierra Cali. The room has a dance floor, a raised stage for clear sightlines, and limited table seating that often sells out first. Beyond Plaza Mexico, Summer Jam West is a free annual festival held in Westgate Park each July, featuring live bands alongside local art vendors.
