Milford is a small historic village in western Oakland County with a live-music calendar that leans community-first and stays family-friendly. The LaFontaine Family Amphitheater, in Central Park, has been home to the Milford Township Parks & Recreation Commission's weekly summer Concerts in the Park series since opening in 2015, with shows running Thursdays from 7 to 9 p.m. The concerts are free and the 2026 season pulls from a broad range of styles, including blues and classic rock, outlaw country, Latin jazz, and swing era jazz. On the brewery side, River's Edge Brewing Co. sits on the bank of the Huron River in downtown Milford and programs its own live music. Its Songwriter's Sanctuary Open Mic, hosted by Ashley Pyle, permits only original music and offers songwriters a space to perform new work and get feedback. The taproom also books acts like Whiskey Choir, a trio playing unplugged roots, blues, bluegrass, and Americana. The overall scene runs more relaxed tavern and brewery than late-night bar.
