New Hudson
New Hudson is a small community along Grand River Ave in Lyon Township, and Whole Hearted Winery, Brewery & Distillery is the area's main live-music draw. The venue operates out of a historic building built in 1855, producing its own award-winning wines, beers, and ciders on site, with wines sourced from grapes out of Italy, Chile, Washington, Ohio, and California. The calendar mixes music and comedy shows alongside classes. Seating extends to a covered outside patio that holds 40 guests, and a second floor seats up to 30, giving the venue two distinct spaces for events. It sits close to Kensington Metro Park, next door to what is billed as the oldest bar in Michigan. For a small community with no dedicated concert hall, Whole Hearted punches above its weight as a consistent local spot for ticketed live performances on weekends.
