Downtown Green Bay
Downtown Green Bay's live music is anchored by two venues that cover very different parts of the market. The Historic Meyer Theatre, a 1,000-seat Art Deco and Spanish Colonial Revival hall at 117 S. Washington St., reopened as a performing arts and live music venue in 2002 and programs rock and pop concerts, comedy shows, symphony concerts, and plays. PMI Entertainment Group has handled booking and management since 2004. Revelry Green Bay, at 227 E. Walnut St., is a newer addition. It occupies the former Schauer & Schumacher building, vacant for 23 years, and is designed to fill a mid-level gap by attracting touring acts that often skip the city for Madison and Milwaukee. The first floor serves as a bar and everyday hangout, while the second floor operates as a 425-capacity concert and flex space. A smaller first-floor stage handles local and acoustic sets for up to 220. Together, the two venues give downtown Green Bay a distinct split: a storied theater for seated shows and a mid-size room built to pull touring acts back into the market.
