Fletcher Place sits along Virginia Avenue just next to Fountain Square, and its live-music options are tied tightly to its craft-beer venues. All three music spots land within a short walk of each other on or near Virginia Ave. Chilly Water Brewing, established in 2014, has been a fixture in Fletcher Place on the Cultural Trail. Its love of music runs through the beer names, the branding, and regular live performances by local and regional artists. When the weather's right, Friday nights bring free live music on the patio. The booking leans toward bluegrass, folk, rock, and jam acts, the annual Jerry Day celebrates the life and music of Jerry Garcia with local artisans, vendors, and special beer tappings. Black Dog Brewing's Fletcher Place taproom at 702 Virginia Ave is the brewery's Indianapolis events destination, with live music and weekly community programming. Live music takes place on the patio, weather permitting. The Dugout, at 634 Virginia Ave, is the neighborhood's own description of itself: a watering hole offering beer, food, live music, and a patio.
