Lockerbie Square

A neighborhood in Indianapolis

Lockerbie Square sits at the eastern edge of Indianapolis's Mile Square and is the city's oldest surviving residential neighborhood, a quiet, cobblestoned historic district directly south of the Mass Ave Cultural District. Its live-music options are small in number but carry real character. The James Whitcomb Riley Museum Home at 528 Lockerbie Street holds indoor concerts in the historic parlor where Riley once entertained guests, as well as outdoor shows on the lawn. Summer programming has included the Nights on Lockerbie Concert Series and a Lockerbie Garden Party. Saint Joseph Brewery & Public House is an independent craft brewery set inside the former St. Joseph's Church, just south of Mass Ave in the Lockerbie area. The brewery runs Music Bingo every Monday, with live music woven into its regular weekly calendar. House beers with names like Sanctuary Saison and the Confessional IPA fit the converted-church setting. No independently verifiable music-specific facts were found for The Cyrus Place or The Great Divide.
