A neighborhood in Indianapolis
The Near Eastside's live-music calendar runs largely through its cluster of craft taprooms and neighborhood bars along East Washington Street and Brookside Avenue. Ash & Elm Cider Co., a hard-cider producer on the Near Eastside, operates out of a historic building and pairs live performances with house-brewed ciders in a taproom setting. The tasting room holds up to 70 people and also has a production-facility event space next door. Centerpoint Brewing, inside the Circle City Industrial Complex just northeast of downtown, has been operating since 2016 and hosts live music every Thursday. Centerpoint also anchors the annual Frigid Digits Winter Beer Fest, an outdoor event held in front of the brewery at 1125 E. Brookside Ave., with live DJ music and local food trucks. Metazoa Brewing, Mayfair Taproom, State Street Pub, Tick Tock Lounge, and McGinleys' Golden Ace Inn round out the neighborhood's music spots, giving the Near Eastside a scene rooted in local bars and independent taprooms rather than dedicated concert venues.
