Hendricks Live! is a nonprofit arts and culture organization that opened in 2024, and it anchors Plainfield's live-music picture. Located in historic downtown Plainfield, the venue seats up to 600 and draws local, regional, and national touring productions across genres from musicians to comedians to films. It regularly hosts Grammy-award-winning artists, Hendricks Civic Theatre performances, and the Hendricks County Symphony Orchestra. Recent bookings have included Corinne Bailey Rae and Brandy Clark. The Prewitt Restaurant + Lounge operates as the concessions partner inside Hendricks Live!, putting it at the center of the concert-night experience. The Plainfield Friends Church Lawn, at 105 S. East St., serves as an outdoor community gathering spot: it has hosted summer music festivals on Main Street with gates opening at 5 p.m. and food trucks on site, and the town also schedules the Plainfield Chamber Farmers Market there on a recurring basis. Plainfield's scene is modest but grounded in a real anchor venue, with the Friends Church Lawn filling the community-event and outdoor-concert role.
