Warren, on Indianapolis's far east side, has a live-music mix that spans formal concert hall, fairground stages, and a Latino nightclub. The Warren Performing Arts Center is a 116,000-square-foot performance space on the campus of Warren Central High School that hosts numerous events each year. The facility includes a nearly 1,000-seat auditorium and a black box Studio Theatre. The Indianapolis Symphonic Band serves as Ensemble-in-Residence, providing year-round, free band concerts throughout Central Indiana. The Marion County Fairgrounds, at 7300 East Troy Avenue, dates to 1930 and sits on 123 acres. The fairgrounds keep a rural theme despite being in Indiana's most populous county, with 4-H exhibits, live music, and traditional dance shows. Concert bookings have included Banda Machos, Banda Los Recoditos, and Banda El Recodo De Cruz Lizárraga, with past acts including Luis R Conriquez and Joel De La P. El Rincón De Susy, at 2709 Shadeland Avenue, is an 18-plus nightclub that brings in touring Latin acts, past bookings have included La Sonora Dinamita and Los Principes De La Sierra. The venue features a dance floor alongside its live music events.
