Kismetic Beer Company, on South Rural Street in the Twin Aire neighborhood, is the area's lone live-music anchor. The female-owned brewery focuses on lower-ABV lagers and other styles served in a chic, retro-future taproom. On the music side, every first Sunday from 2 to 5 pm, the venue features all-original music from local musicians. A vintage jukebox fills the gaps between live sets, and a heated outdoor patio extends the listening space. Twin Aire itself sits just southeast of downtown Indianapolis and has a history rooted in invention and craft. The neighborhood's live-music offerings are thin, but Kismetic gives the area a consistent, community-rooted room where local original music gets a regular stage.
