Truman Sports Complex
The Truman Sports Complex sits on Kansas City's east side and is home to two of the metro's largest concert venues. GEHA Field at Arrowhead Stadium opened in 1972 and holds approximately 76,000 people. It books stadium-scale touring acts: past concerts have included Luke Combs, Garth Brooks, Kenny Chesney, Metallica, Ed Sheeran, Taylor Swift, Beyoncé, and The Rolling Stones. Next door, Kauffman Stadium, home of the Kansas City Royals, seats 37,903 and hosts concerts alongside its baseball calendar. Artists who have performed there include Post Malone, Jelly Roll, and Guns N' Roses. Kauffman also runs post-game concert events tied to individual Royals games. Neither venue programs regular live music independent of major tours or game-night events, so the Complex draws large crowds only on specific dates rather than offering a steady weekly calendar.
