Independence
Independence carries more live-music weight than its suburban reputation suggests. The anchor is Cable Dahmer Arena, a 5,800-seat multi-purpose indoor arena that hosts more than 100 events every year, including concerts, trade shows, professional sporting events, and festivals. Recent bookings have pulled in country, pop, and Christian acts, making it one of the Kansas City area's busiest mid-size concert venues. On a smaller scale, The Court House Exchange opens a side terrace in summer for live performances, giving the historic downtown square a seasonal outdoor-music option. Fringe Beerworks runs weekly events at its Independence taproom on South Noland Road, where craft beer and live music share the same room. Nirvana Coffee & Games, Score Sports Bar & Grill, and the Truman Memorial Building round out the local calendar, though specific booking details for those three are harder to pin down.

Blood on the Clocktower
Join us at Nirvana every 2nd and 4th Wednesday of the month from 6 PM - 10 PM for Blood on the Clocktower. Blood on the Clocktower is a social deduction party game where players take on secret roles in a town haunted by an evil demon. One player is the demon, secretly trying to kill off townsfolk, while others are villagers trying to find and execute the demon before it's too late. The game is moderated by a storyteller who guides the action and manages special powers and abilities that each role might have. It's like Werewolf or Mafia, but with more complex roles, no player elimination until the end, and lots of bluffing and strategy.
