Westside
The Westside's Latino and Mexican-American roots shape its live-music character in a direct way. On Southwest Boulevard, BLVD Nights is a large-scale venue with a capacity of 2,140 and three distinct rooms, operating as an open-format room whose bookings run from Regional Mexican, Latin, and Urban acts to hip-hop, EDM, rock, and pop. A few blocks away, Boulevard Brewing Company sits in a turn-of-the-century brick building on historic Southwest Boulevard. The brewery mixes beer release parties and live music alongside a free, all-ages Early Show series presented with 90.9 The Bridge. The neighborhood's quietest room is also its most distinctive: Greenwood Social Hall is a listening room inside a historically Black Baptist church, booking singer-songwriters, multi-instrumentalists, spoken word poets, folk artists, and theater actors. Across its three rooms, the Westside moves between 2,000-capacity club nights and intentional, seated listening in the same few blocks.
