Music Industry Night – Open Jam
Open mic/open jam for musicians to jam together
A city in the Louisville area
New Albany's live-music calendar runs the range from free outdoor shows to ticketed performing-arts productions. The biggest anchor is the Ogle Center, Southern Indiana's center for the performing and visual arts on the IU Southeast campus, which brings world-class performances to Southern Indiana while supporting the artistic life of Indiana University Southeast. Its programming includes the Louisville Orchestra's NightLites series of concerts, featuring classical pieces presented in the intimate setting of the Ogle Center's Stem Concert Hall, alongside national touring acts and IU Southeast student ensembles. Outdoors, the Bicentennial Park Summer Concert Series runs on Friday nights in historic downtown New Albany, with free concerts open to all ages. The lineup draws regional Americana, roots rock, classic rock, and soul acts. The New Albany Riverfront Amphitheater, located below East Main Street at the foot of Pearl Street, hosts numerous free concerts, productions, and festivals each spring and summer, overlooking the Ohio River. At the bar and brewery level, Dog Haus Biergarten books live music every Friday and Saturday from April through November. The Enchanted Forest is a music hall and beer garden presented by Floyd County Brewing Company. Hugh E. Bir's, an old-time New Albany staple, is known for its live country music. PRIDE bar offers drinks, drag, and free admission.
