Shelby Park sits southeast of downtown Louisville, a historically rich, art-filled neighborhood whose live-music footprint is small but well-defined. Logan Street Market, a community staple spanning 25,000 square feet of food and drink vendors and artisan shops, hosts live music and block parties. The neighborhood's dedicated music venue is the Canary Club, a 100% women-owned natural wine bar at 1247 S. Shelby St. The club hosts live jazz every Tuesday from 8 PM to 10 PM with no cover. The format is straight-ahead jazz, and experienced musicians are welcome to sit in. Beyond Tuesdays, the Canary Club hosts pop-ups and Friday night karaoke, and has a courtyard. It is credited as Louisville's first natural wine bar. The Louisville Jazz Society lists it as an active jazz venue, making it the clearest live-music anchor in an otherwise quietly creative corner of the city.
