Lake Edge is a suburban neighborhood in Madison bounded by Cottage Grove Road on the north, the Monona Golf Course on the south, Monona Drive on the west, and Stoughton Road on the east. Its two music-hosting bars sit at opposite edges of that boundary and keep things low-key. Muskellounge and Sporting Club, at 4102 Monona Drive, is a sports bar with a Northwoods-inspired vibe, with amenities including shuffleboard, darts, and live music events. The venue also runs trivia nights and sports viewing alongside its music performances. The Dive Inn sits at 521 Cottage Grove Road, the neighborhood's northern border. The bar features occasional live music, food trucks, and events like drag bingo. It has an outdoor patio with picnic tables and an interior that has undergone renovation while keeping its neighborhood character. Neither venue is a dedicated music room. Both are corner-bar-style spots where live music shares the calendar with other community programming.
