Cordova
Cordova is a residential suburb on Memphis's eastern edge, and its live-music footprint is modest. The one named venue here is Hope Church, an Evangelical Presbyterian church in Cordova. It doubles as the area's most significant concert space. Its 5,000-seat theater-style worship center features over 300 lights, a Midas Pro 9 FOH console, a Yamaha DSP5D monitor console, seven HD cameras, and two 20' x 12' LED IMAG screens. For more intimate events, the church also has a 1,200-seat venue tied directly into its recording studio, making it well-suited for live event recordings. Hope has hosted Christian artists including Third Day, Chris Tomlin, Toby Mac, Brandon Heath, and Skillet. Hope Concerts and its recording operation have since been rebranded under the name The Grove Music Ministry. The programming here is exclusively faith-based and family-oriented; anyone looking for secular club-style live music will need to head into Memphis proper.
