East Memphis

East Memphis keeps its live music spread across three distinct settings. Radians Amphitheater, set inside the Memphis Botanic Garden on Cherry Road, has become a fast favorite for two major annual events: the Live at the Garden Concert Series, running June through September, and the Mempho Music Festival each October. On the more intimate end, the Buckman Performing Arts Center is a 300-seat venue on the St. Mary's Episcopal School campus that draws over 5,000 patrons a year with world music, contemporary dance, family programming, and educational outreach. Open since 1996, it has built a reputation through programming that features internationally renowned artists, dancers, and musicians. For a rougher, bar-floor experience, Neil's Music Room on Quince Road pairs live music with American bar-and-grill fare and has been a local fixture for over four decades, known for supporting local musicians. The room runs live music up to six nights a week, Tuesday through Sunday, with Sundays reserved for singer-songwriters. Performers regularly lean into authentic Memphis blues.
