Collierville

Collierville is a suburban city east of Memphis whose live-music life runs quieter than downtown but has genuine community roots. The Harrell Performing Arts Theatre, at 440 West Powell Road, opened in 1987 and is the city's main indoor performance venue. The Collierville Arts Council produces theater and musical performances there, with all actors being volunteers. The newer Harrell Live series brings nationally touring performers to the stage during times when the Arts Council is not using it, with acts like Collin Raye, KT Tunstall, and Buffalo Rose on its 2026-2027 schedule. The theatre seats around 350 people. Beyond the Harrell, outdoor music is part of Collierville's calendar: the Main Street Collierville Summer Concert Series runs every Thursday night in June and July on Town Square, with bands taking the Gazebo stage. Sounds Like Collierville is a free, family-friendly bluegrass and Americana festival that draws local and regional acts. A weekly bluegrass jam on Town Square happens on Friday evenings.
