Clarksville
Clarksville is about 45 miles northwest of Nashville and supports a live-music scene that runs well beyond country, spread across bars, distilleries, wineries, and one major arena. F&M Bank Arena opened in July 2023 in downtown Clarksville and seats up to 6,000 people, making it by far the city's largest concert venue. The arena books a wide range of genres and has previously welcomed acts such as Alabama, The Gatlin Brothers, and ZZ Top. The 250,000-square-foot complex is owned by Montgomery County and operated by Sabretooth Sports and Entertainment, with Austin Peay State University as the facility's primary tenant. For smaller shows, recurring series include Downtown @ Sundown, a free outdoor concert series at Downtown Commons, and weekend lawn concerts at Beachaven Winery featuring local artists and food trucks. The Clarksville Community Concert Association and Gateway Chamber Orchestra present performances at the George and Sharon Mabry Concert Hall, alongside more than 100 annual events from Austin Peay State University's music department.
