Mount Juliet's live-music options lean local and family-friendly, fitting for a Nashville-area suburb that draws on the region's songwriting culture without competing with Lower Broadway. Breeden's Orchard, a working farm on Beckwith Road open since 1974, pairs its seasonal calendar with outdoor live music. Events like the Writer's Round bring original-music nights to the orchard grounds, with songwriters performing their own songs around campfires alongside cider and farm food. The orchard also programs live music into its Peach Fest weekends each July and other seasonal gatherings, making it a daytime-and-evening destination rather than a traditional bar venue. Hillside Hangout, on Lebanon Road, runs a more conventional music-bar schedule. The fenced hilltop spot books performers most days of the week, drawing from the Nashville talent pool, and adds writers' nights and trivia to fill out the calendar. Thirteen rotating local and regional draft beers and a large outdoor yard keep it rooted as a neighborhood gathering place.
