The Augustana neighborhood anchors two very different live-music spaces along 7th Avenue on Rock Island's west side. Centennial Hall Auditorium sits on the Augustana College campus and seats 1,600 people. It is the long-established home of the Augustana Choir and the Handel Oratorio Society. The Quad City Symphony Orchestra holds its Masterworks series here, and the hall also hosts the college's own symphony orchestra and jazz ensembles. A notable feature is the Crosell Memorial Pipe Organ. A few blocks away, Skylark QC occupies a former church at 4401 7th Ave. It operates as a registered 501(c)(3) nonprofit, supporting local artists, musicians, and young people through live music, recording access, and community-based arts programming. The space functions as a combination recording studio, live music venue, and event space. It holds about 200 people.
