Swansea's live-music scene is modest, with much of the area's nightlife flowing into neighboring Belleville rather than concentrating in Swansea itself. The one dedicated music spot in town is 1428 Tap Haus on N. Illinois Street. Open since 2020, it operates as a bar and grill with an outdoor beer garden, premium spirits, local brews, and bar food. Thursday nights bring karaoke, while live music runs on Fridays, Saturdays, and Sundays. Cover bands playing classic rock and acoustic acts are typical bookings. Bingo nights and trivia contests round out the entertainment calendar alongside live music. It's a neighborhood bar first, music venue second, but for Swansea residents, it's the main place to catch local and regional acts without leaving town.
