Jazzy 159 is Fairview Heights' dedicated live-music lounge, and it is essentially the city's entire dedicated live-music footprint. Billed as "Southern Illinois' premier venue for live entertainment," it books local and national jazz artists and comedians weekly, with DJs and karaoke rounding out the programming. The room runs four nights a week and targets a grown-folks crowd with comedy, live bands, DJs, and food. Thursday nights anchor a karaoke and happy-hour format, with DJ PhatMack holding down the room. Ticketed soul and R&B acts also come through, drawing from across the Fairview Heights and St. Louis area. The venue enforces a dress code and an over-30 rule after 7 p.m., giving it a distinctly adult-night-out character. For live music in Fairview Heights, Jazzy 159 is the only stop in town.
